Inaugurating the debate on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament, on Monday, Rajnath said that everyone needs to look at the results of any test. In this case, that result is the success of the Indian Army.

Taking a dig at the opposition, he said that they should ask how much damage Pakistan has suffered, how many warplanes have been destroyed. They should ask how the backbone of the terrorists has been broken. Instead, they are questioning their own losses. Rajnath said that it is not a big deal whether the examinee’s pencil broke or lost the rubber while giving the exam, the big thing is whether they have successfully passed the exam or not. That is the success achieved in Operation Sindoor. Although the discussion on Operation Sindoor began, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not present in the meeting. According to official sources, he may participate in the debate tomorrow, Tuesday. However, since Rajnath Singh has started the discussion, he will also give the reply speech.

Rajnath Singh said that India has repeatedly sought friendship with Pakistan. For that purpose, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee took a bus trip to Lahore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also trying for that purpose. But a country where terrorism is the state mantra, they are walking on a different path. Prime Minister Modi has also remained steadfast in his goal and said that terrorism and talks cannot go together.

The Defense Minister said that Operation Sindoor is a symbol of the valor and bravery of the Indian Defense Forces. The brave soldiers destroyed 9 bases and more than a hundred terrorists in just 22 minutes. They destroyed the bases of terrorists in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and inside Pakistan. The entire country is proud of them. He said that Operation Sindoor has only been suspended, not stopped. If Pakistan acts stubbornly again, it will be given a befitting reply. Rajnath said that this is Narendra Modi’s new India. This India will not back down from taking any steps to curb terrorism.

The discussion was supposed to start from 12 noon today. But the meeting was adjourned till 2 pm due to opposition to the Election Commission’s (EC) Intensive Voter List Review (SIR) in Bihar and demand for discussion on the issue. The discussion started at 2 pm. The discussion will last for a total of 16 hours.

Gaurav Gogoi, a Congress member elected from Assam, started the debate from the opposition. He said that the Defense Minister said a lot. But he did not say once how the terrorists entered Pahelgam, killed 26 people and escaped unharmed. Expressing surprise, he wanted to know that a hundred days have passed since then, not a single person has been arrested. Due to whose negligence? Whose failure? Gaurav said that the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has taken moral responsibility. But the government cannot hide its shame behind the Lieutenant Governor. The responsibility for the failure in Pahelgam lies entirely with Home Minister Amit Shah.

Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gaurav said that he returned home from Saudi Arabia in a hurry after the Pahalgam incident. Where should he have gone to Pahalgam, to stand by the families of the deceased, instead of going to Bihar to give a political speech.

Gogoi said, “We, the opposition, are not the enemies of the government. We also stand by the government in the fight against terrorism. But we want to know the truth. We want to know why the government suddenly agreed to a ceasefire? When Pakistan was on its knees, why was Pakistan-occupied Kashmir not taken away? The Prime Minister should say to whose pressure he surrendered.” Addressing Rajnath, he said, “We want to know how many fighter jets were destroyed. The truth is being hidden not only from the people, but also from the soldiers.”

Gaurav said that the United States keeps saying that it was they who stopped the war between India and Pakistan. The US President has made this claim 26 times. What is the truth?Ceasefire with Pakistan not due to pressure from anyone: Rajnath Singh
